This is just like any other flu it is dangerous for the very young and the very old. It is troubling because it went from animals to people which means that it mutates and those kind are really hard to fight or prevent. Wash your hands and stay home if you are sick.

May 4, 2009 by jdavenportDiscuss e-learning. What are the advantages and disadvantages? What do you think about it.
April 27, 2009 by jdavenportI am learning to teach on-line. I think if done and designed correctly that an on-line class is as rigorous as a face to face class. In years past some on-line classes have been more like a correspondence course. They are looking at using web cams to prevent cheating and making sure on-line courses are accredited it. I don’t think on-line teaching and or learning is my best avenure but I do believe it is the wave of the future.
Discuss the 10 Year Anniversary of the Shootings at Columbine
April 20, 2009 by jdavenportI think everyone has become more aware and have instituted programs in school about bullying. It is sad that lots of school shootings followed this one. Some people who don’t receive any attention saw how much attention from the media that the shootings in Columbine got and they wanted some too (that of course means that were not in good mental health) so they did awful things too. Lots of families who lost a loved one have tried to make the best of the situation by setting up school programs and the like to educate so that their loved ones won’t have died in vain.

March 23, 2009 by jdavenportDiscuss the 50th Birthday of the Barbie Doll. How has she changed over the years and what do you think about her?
March 9, 2009 by jdavenportI always loved Barbie and she has changed in body type from the original of the 195o’s. My first Barbie had red hair in a ponytail and I had many stylish clothes for her. My best friend’s dog bit her ponytail off and she had to give her barbie head to me to go on my Barbie body. It was a little stressful on the friendship–I still have that doll. Barbie provided many hours of play in elementary school.
